Uttarakhand Covid-19 Guidelines | Online Registration and Travel Rules

  • What if I am travelling to multiple cities within UK?
  • How much days e-paas is valid?

Here in this article. you will get to know Uttarakhand Covid-19 Guidelines for travel purposes. This information is based on my recent trip to the U.K.

Now since the lockdown is easing in different parts of the country, you all must be planning to travel soon. And due to increasing heat in North India, most of us are rushing towards the hills. Now the choice is in between Himachal or Uttrakhand. Himachal has already lifted all travel restrictions, causing a sudden rush of Tourists to the city. Uttrakhand however still has proper rules and guidelines to enter the state.

RT PCR

First and foremost carry RT PCR negative report not earlier than 72 hours. From whichever lab you are getting tested make sure they provide reports on time. If by any chance, you do not carry negative RT PCR, you need to get yourself tested at the U.K border. Right at the UK border, a camp has been set up and each and every vehicle needs to get its documents verified and an e pass is provided in return. They have set up proper counters for rapid antigen tests as well.

Camp set up for checking at UK border

You will basically see three counters- 1,2 and 3 when you enter the camp area. So the first counter is for E paas, the online registration. The second counter is for rapid antigen test and the last one is to show all the reports and get the hard copy e paas to enter Uttrakhand. So in case you are carrying all the documents, just head to the last counter and get your e paas. It’s actually hassle-free and it took us around 15 mins as we were carrying all the documents.

Online Registeration

Along with the RT PCR report, you also need to register at the Smart City Dehradun website. Before filling the form, keep your booking receipt and RT PCR report handy. You need to upload both of these documents, and also need to provide complete details of the place you are traveling to.

Counter 3 to get e-paas

What if I am travelling to multiple cities within UK?

In case you are traveling to multiple cities within the UK, it’s advisable to keep online registration for all of them. At the main UK border, you can show them all the registrations. However, they will provide one single paas only to enter Uttrakhand. All the other online forms will be checked when you cross the respective cities border. One important thing to keep in mind is that, at respective cities’ borders, you will not get the facility to fill the online form. So in that case, either they will not allow entering the border or you may need to fill the form then and there through your phone or laptop.

How much days e-paas is valid?

The e-paas provided from the U.K border are valid for 7 days. And this permits you to travel anywhere within Uttrakhand. One exception is Gangotri and beyond. You can easily travel upto village Harsil and there is no check-post on the way from Uttarkashi. At village Dharali, just a few km before Gangotri, there will be a check post and you won’t be allowed to travel any further.

Don’t listen to what they, go and see it**
