Revdanda- sightseeing and Things to do

Posted on 24th January 20207th June 2020

Mumbai has been a best destination for easily accessible day trips, be it trekking or a camping spot or a leisure Beach vacation. Recently I camped at Revdanda with my girlfriends. Really the place turned out to be pretty amazing site.

Where is Revdanda

Revdanda is a village approx 17 km from Alibaugh and 125 km from Mumbai

Accessibility from Mumbai

From Gateway of India Mumbai, ferry is not only time saving option but also offers you 1 hour of relaxing journey through the sea.

Ferries enroute revdanda

Day 1:

Ferry cost:

Gateway to Mandwa ferry will cost you around 120 bucks for lower deck. From Mandwa buses are available for Revdanda beach and even Alibaugh. You can find AC buses also on the route. Pls check bus details at the end.

What if you miss the bus????:

Auto charges around 500 bucks up to the main market area. From there hire another auto for the revdanda camp site. Another option is to hire auto up to the Revdanda camp site, that will cost you around 900 bucks. FYI, they don’t bargain at all but still try your luck

Ships enroute revdanda beach

It took us around 4 to 5 hrs to reach campsite . Though it was tiring but we were welcomed with beautiful sunset, our camp site and my favorite hammock

perfect sunset at beach

Camps had pretty good arrangements for the food and the site was well decorated. We were served with snacks and welcome drink on reaching at the site. We then headed to beach for photography

Day 2

I love the mornings when alarms are not needed and we are super active as never before. I got up around 5 am and was ready to capture the sunrise shot. I loved laying on that hammock and watching the sunrise on one side and beautiful beach on the other.

Life seems to be so perfect at such moments

Tent stays

We left the place around 10am. During return, we headed to Alibaugh beach from bus , took the ticket for the Gateway of India and ready to return to the city life.

Bus service to and fro Mandwa

Two bus services operate at this route-

1.MANDAR AJANTA- NON AC

2.PNP – AC

The ticket of both of these buses are included in your ferry ticket.

So don’t be late, run from your jetty and grab the seat, and save your time to wait for the next bus or else you will have to hire auto.
