I know most of you already have heard about Hawa Mahal, Jaipur. Here in this article, I am gonna help you with planning a trip to Hawa Mahal and how you can manage to click uncrowded pictures with this beautiful architecture.

Hawa Mahal or the palace of wind is located around 300kms from the capital city of Delhi. It is located in the heart of the city of Jaipur and is flooded with tourists all day long.

Architecture

This architecture is built in the shape of Krishna Crown because Sai Pratap Singh was the devotee of Krishna. The palace is five-story and is pyramid-shaped with around 953 windows or the jharokhas. This allows cool breeze blow through the mahal and keep it cool during hot summer days.

Despite a large number of windows, each of them is just a peephole. The intention behind such creation was that Roya ladies not be seen by any outsider, however, queens will get a view of the outside city. Want to know more about the history of the place? Read here.

Best time to visit

Usually Hawa Mahal is flooded with tourists and its not possible to get an uncrowded picture. However if you manage to sacrifice sleep and reach there as early as 7 or 7:30 am then its definitely possible that you will be only one standing in front of Hawa Mahal .

Best spot for perfect Instagrammable picture

The wind view facing Hawa Mahal is the best spot for clicking the amazing pictures for your social content. In peak hours, the cafe is crammed with tourists and there is hardly any space in the front for clicking the pictures which you have seen mostly on pin interest or Instagram.

I reached cafe around 7:30 AM and luckily I had whole place for myself to click as many pictures as I want that too uncrowded(I should not even use the work crowd as I was the only one there 🙂 ).
