COVID crisis is not over yet in any way. After being locked in homes for more than 2 months, people are now eagerly waiting to step out and travel to their favorite destinations.
As the restrictions ease, we are getting used to our new normal life. There are several states that depend on the tourism industry majorly and some of those states have opened their doors to the tourists. So here is a comprehensive list of 5 such states that have lifted the ban on tourism.
Himachal Pradesh
As per the latest rules, tourists are required to register at covid19epass.hp.gov.in under tourist section, 48 hours before the travel. The state government has made it mandatory to show COVID 19 negative test report, not older than 72 hours of the travel. Along with this, tourists are also required to download the Aarogya Setu app on their mobiles.
Uttarakhand
Uttarkhand opened its borders from within and outside state for tourism. So people visiting Uttarkhand from other states will be able to roam freely without any quarantine restrictions, if they carry negative COVID report.
The government has made it mandatory minimum 5 days booking in hotels and homestays. As the standard protocol visitors have to present negative COVID reports not older than 72 hours, from ICME recognized labs. International tourists will have to undergo a minimum of 7 days of institutional quarantine and 7 days of home quarantine.
Goa
As the hippie town has opened its borders for domestic tourists, here are certain points you need to keep in mind.
Travelers need to carry mandatory COVID 19 negative reports, tested within the last 2 days, otherwise, they will have to undergo mandatory check at the state entrance. Goa tourism department has selected some hotels, on which travelers can get their bookings done.
Bookings in un-approved hotels will not be allowed. A self-declaration form will need to fill at the pre-booked hotel. Tourists with negative COVID test need not go for quarantine. Here is the list of approved hotels.
Rajasthan
Another major tourist hub Rajasthan has opened its doors for tourists. In order to further increase the number, the government has decided to waive off the entrance fee to the monuments for the first 15 days. Rajasthan is home to around 350 monuments and already 1000+ people have visited since the state opened.
Masks have been made mandatory and people can enter only in groups of five. Monuments will be open for four days a week- Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and social distancing protocols will be followed by the visitors.

Madhya Pradesh
The landlocked region of Madhya Pradesh has also opened its doors for popular tourist spots along with the re-opening of state hotels and resorts. One of the major highlights of unlocking is the reopening of all national parks. The state is also offering RV caravans to help maintain social distancing while visiting the state.
