The Indian city Lavasa is architecturally based on Italian town Portofino. This city is beautifully designed and has picturesque sceneries for the visitors including buildings ,hotels, malls and residential property.
It is approximately 181 km away from Mumbai and is situated in Mose Valley in Pune. The drive during monsoon gives breathtaking views of Ghats.
There is lot to do here, one can go for boat ride in the lake or just sit beside this beautiful landscape. Its an perfect destination for photo lovers. From Italian architecture houses to cafes to lush green fields and the water sport activites, Lavasa is in itself an 10/10 for a weekend gateway during monsoon.
The town of lavasa is worth a visit and gives you feeling of being in a foreign country. Its really impressive the way they have designed the entire city. Though the place looks amazing throughout the year, its best to visit during monsoon. Surroundings of the city covered entirely with clouds will definitely going to cheer you up.
Water Sports :Best part of being here is adventure sports like Paintball,Rapelling,Rock climbing and camping. Also lakeshore water sports where tourist can just zip across on water. If you are not interested in all of this, you can just enjoy the nature trails and gardens .
The monsoon showers bestows the magic on the city making it more picture-some. If nothing else, you can just sit beside any cafe and get lovely view of valley enjoying the rain showers and chill weather. Lavasa has everything for every kind of tourist.
Since it was heavily raining by the time we were leaving Lavasa, we really had a beautiful view of lush green valley covered with clouds. Monsoon heightens the beauty of the city. The drive to this route is pretty amazing and can be best enjoyed on self drive. City also has a lighthouse from where one can get lovely view of the city and the lake.
